I am not sure if this is going to work, but please hear me out. I will be in NY City for few months (2, may be 3, may be 6, depends on my contract of my 9-5 job) and I craving to work for a stratup (so bad since 5 years but due to some financial difficulties I couldnt take the risk). I am looking to spend my nights and weekends working with you, sharing my knowledge and learning from you. I could get a decent job that pays ok for moon lighting but that’s not fun. I want my stay in the city to be awesome in terms of learning and helping Startups with what I am good at. I want to make friends who are also passionate about technology with whom I would enjoy working. All in all I want to make this a memorable stay by learning and sharing the startup life and thereby making some good friends. I am not looking for a remote gig but on-site part time work during off office hours. I know startups dont sleep and I am up for it. Hence, I thought how cool it would be if I can get a decent hourly rate (~$30/hr or less) or a flat rate and in return I will spend my nights and weekends (at least 20 hours/week) coding with you. No strings attached! I don’t even know if this would make sense for anyone but I feel being passionate about technology and Startups, someone out there might just find this amusing and give me a shot. In the worst case scenario, you are free to kick me out and still keep all the work I did for you in a week.

So let me tell you a little bit about me: I am quite a decent iOS developer (not so much into gaming though but I would love to learn  and help you), very experienced .net/database developer and I do work on LAMP stack sometimes (all my side projects use LAMP). Infact I don’t really mind learning something new to help your startup. I am talking about ruby on rails (always wanted to learn), nosql, android, etc.

Personally I am quite a techie, I spend a lot of time coding or reading tech blogs or refreshing hacker news. My stay with your startup will be worthwhile for you and me and heck we could become good friends and/or I may join you full time

On your request I will send you my resume (which is quite corporate-ish and .net-ish) but here are some stuff I did on the side: iOS Apps – search for company zuzis llc in app store, also did ReadMyMail, worked with Thomson Reuters for some of the apps, did some consulting for directv, naturemade vitamins etc.

What am I looking for in the startup?:

At least 3 member team, passionate about what they are doing (obviously). Working also on nights and weekends (hate to work by myself). Great team dynamics and friendly attitude. Who has fun while at it.
